How to obtain Migration Certificate?

The procedure is as follows:

Day 0. Fill out the migration form. Leave the Principal’s section as it is.

Day 0. Have foto-copies of the following documents ready: –

10th Marksheet + Passing certificate
12th Markheet + Passing certificate
All Semester marksheets
Degree marksheet
Degree certificate

Take everything since you don’t want to hear names of uncarried documents in college.

Day 1. Approach your college from where you graduated.

Day 1. Submit your application to the concerned person. He/she will take necessary fees as prescribed by our esteemed university. Ideally you will be asked to come and collect the completed migration form in 4 days.

Day 5. Collect the migration form along with a Transference Certificate from your college and head straight to Ambedkar Bhavan in Kalina University . This building is the farthest in the campus and I advise you to take a rick upto this building.

Day 5. Submit the form in the Migration Form submission area. It is outside but attached to the building. Ask for it from the peon sitting outside the building if you are unable to locate this place.

Day 5. Pay Rs. 220, submit the form and collect a receipt. (You don’t need to pay any under-table amount here). Ideally you will be called after 4 days again.

Day 9. Collect the migration certificate. Don’t be surprised if it does not look like one.

Day 10. Submit the form to the admission dept at NMIMS. I think the timings for us are from 4 to 7.

Day 10. Come for the lecture and thank me.

The university referred here is Mumbai University . Please do not go to Kalina campus if you are not from Mumbai University . You will have to go to your own university wherever it is located.

I am sorry I am late in posting this. But it can still be helpful for you; and for others, who have already started the process, give a print out of this to your kids.

# pritesh: Welcome to “Express – The NMIMS Coming Soon” blog. The process mentioned above is required when migration certificate is to be obtained from Mumbai University. This may vary for different university.

The documents required as mentioned above are
1) 10th Marksheet + Passing certificate
2) 12th Markheet + Passing certificate
3) All Semester marksheets
4) Degree marksheet
5) Degree certificate

Also sometimes photocopy with attestation of the principal of the college is required in some of the cases. So be prepared with that too. Best of luck 🙂

My sister is from Mumbai and now her whole family is getting transfered to Goa. Her daughter just now completed her 12th commerce in Mumbai. now she want to take adimittion in Goa Unversity. College told they want migration certificate & Eligibility certificate of Goa university. Our confuse is we are in Goa it is not possible to go thereand live there for this certificat. please tell me what is the procedure for the same.

- Dr Vipul: As per my knowledge you cannot obtain migration certificate online. As there is lot of process involved in it. And it is only required when you are going for further studies from other universities.

I am Jayamala kushwaha and have done my M.Sc(Zoology) from wilson college(Mumbai University) in 2002 now i need a migration certificate as iam applying in other course in Agra (uttar pradesh). - I dont feel there is any online process to get the migration certificate. You need to fill an application which needs to submitted to the University. If you find any such facility provided by the university, please let me know. I would put it up in this blog 🙂

- Conduct certificate is issued to confirm that the student is good in nature and there is no bad history of the student in the college.
  
  I am not sure of the procedure to get the migration certificate for your case. More or less it should be the same.

- You would require to produce marksheet of 8th Sem marksheet as well as your leaving certificate inorder to get the migration certificate.

I studied ar Panvel 8 years back. I have to apply for procurement of Migration certificate since i am joining chennai university for a short time course. I am based in chennai.

I have taken all the required attested certificates from my last college where i did my BCOM. I have filled up the Migration form and also been filled, signed and attested by the principal of last college.

1) I would like know to POSTAL address and contact in mumbai university to send the same. i have the following address, please confirm

Asstt. Registrar (Administration), Institute of Distance Education,Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Vidyanagari, Kalina, Santacruz (East), Mumbai 400 098.

2) Amount in DD to be attached and in favour and whether outstation DD – chennai is ok?

IS it 220 Rs DD drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai

3) Number of Xerox copies to be attached with originals

4 ) Which originals are to be sent, please confirm

10th Marksheet + Passing certificate
12th Markheet + Passing certificate
All Semester marksheets
Degree marksheet
Degree certificate

5) Please also confirm if sending all the documents above can be by Courier or has to be only by REGISTERED POST? I am plaaning to send all the above documents with migration form and DD by registered speed post

I did my Graduation from Elphinstone college in 2002. Now want a migration certificate to join a course in Pune university.But the college authorities cannot find my records to issue a transfer certificate or they might have misplaced it.

So how can I get a migration certificate without the TC.

  Migration certificate is generally obtained when you take admission to a different university. If you are not changing the university, you need not bother about migration certificate.
  
  Generally migration certificate needs to be submitted in the college once you take admission.

I am in my 12th graded and am studying in the south. I am hoping to apply to colleges in Mumbai next year.
I however have a problem. I will not be able to personally make it to bombay during the application time.
Now I was wondering if I could do the whole application process from a remote location. I have family in bombay
who would be willing to do the leg work.
Could you please let me know where they would need my original marksheets etc and where they would not be able to stand in my stead
I have been going through the Mumbai University website, but have not been able to draw any decisive conclusions about the aforementioned
queries.

I have done BCom from mumbai university and then took admission for MCA in one of the mumbai university college but due to some reason I left MCA in between and got leaving certificate from that college. Now I want to take admission in NMIMS (MCA) I also got selected for the admission but I am confused whether to take Migration Certificate through my BCom College or last attended MCA College.

i have got a transfer certificate from my college and migration certificate from university with witch college wal affiliated (mumbai university),if i go for masters from any other university then that university will ask for migration certificate(from university) or transfer certificate(from college).

i am 32 years old . i competed my graduation in 2002 from mumbai university. i am married in kanpur. because of some problem i couldnot cotinue my studies now i want to do my post graduation. Today I have been to university and they told me that you will get your migration certificate when you will submit the migration form after that 15 working days you will get your migration certificate and not 4 days as u have mentioned above
And I dont know about transfer certificate will I get it from the college where I completed my graduation or I have to take the form, from the NMIMS college

Dear Sir,

We had filled the migration form and got duly verified by the Principal of the College. The transfer certificate orginal as well as attested copy is also attached to the form along with attested copies of 10th,12th, all 6 semester mark list of B-TECH engineering and the form was submitted to Mumbai University. They are not accepting the form and are asking for enrollment details. They are asking us to get the letter from the college about the university enrollment done at the beginning of the 1st year of engineering with details of certificates attached to the enrollment letter. I am not understanding after the university has given us the final year passing certificate, why this letter is now asked. Please suggest what is the procedure exactly asks for. S.H.Patil

My self Rubal and I m studying bsc in sem6 ( in gujarat university ) till now I haven’t submitted my migration of 12. Before 3 month I sent an application letter to my school’s principal ( tamilnadu state board ) for migration certificate but they provided me with schools stamp and sign of schools correspondent, and when I submitted in my university they refused it and said to bring migration authorised by board.now i cant travel to tuticorin ( T N) So pls give me some satisfy answer Regarding this THIS IS MY FUTURE ; THANKING YOU

- Hi Rubal, Since you cannot go then you can just check it out if you have any University website where you can update your comments and they can help you from there through email . I have received Migration Certificate without attending University . You just follow their instruction to get Migration Certificate.
  I have just submitted DD under University name and filled Migration Certificate with college Signature and Seal . Hope my comments will help you 🙂 Best of luck

hello sir. actually mene p.s.e.b.spunjab se10th pass kiya hai or mein ab jharkhand mein rehti hun. mujhe 10th ka migration chahiye hai taki mein apni aage ki study kar paun. but mere Punjab ke jo principal hai Woh mera migration Nhi de rahe hai or mujhe Chandigarh jakar khud apply karne keh rahe hai but mera Wahan jana possible nhi hai. aap mujhe bataeye ki mein online apply kese karun or kya karun. please help me .

M HSC passed from mumbai. Now fir further studies i got admsn in delhi. So i just follwed ur instructn for obtaining migration certificate. But in my college they said i shdnt waste my tym in college. And go to vashi..

I have passed my 1st sem bsc from st.Aloysius’s college jabalpur and earlier submitted my 12 migration tc there n unable to get it back from there.
Can I get back mc again from CBSE Delhi?

My sister completed 10th at kumnakonam tanjavur district now we r transferred to pune and I don’t now anything about migration certificate and where I can get migration certificate in tamilnadu…??

I want my migration certificate.I have passed out BA in 2003 from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar university , Agra. Kindly HELP me out and now I want to do LLb from Chaudhary Charan Singh university and they are asking for migration certificate as soon as possible.Please help me for getting migration certificate asap.

Hello….i passed my bba from gujrat university and they keep orignal copy of transfer certificate for migration certificate and i got the admission in pune university but they want migration certificate and original tranfer certificate also but gujrat university regret to give another orignal tranfer certificate …so what can i fo can u help me out of this…….
